About Studio Finder ATL
I'm Brian Nissley, a photographer and film and TV crew member in Georgia. Booking a studio here usually means clicking through marketplaces that hide the studio's own contact info and add fees on top. I wanted one neutral place to see what a studio really costs and then book with them directly.
How I get the numbers
Every price comes from the studio's own website, with a link and the date I checked it. If I could not confirm something there, I mark it unknown. I never guess a price.
The all-in 4-hour estimate
For each studio with a posted rate, I work out the cheapest posted way to book 4 hours. That means the hourly rate times 4 (or the minimum, if it is longer), or a half-day package if that is cheaper. If the studio only books by the day, a 4-hour shoot pays the day rate. I add required fees like cleaning when they are posted. Tax, optional gear, extra people, overtime and insurance are not included. Each studio page shows the math.
How the site is paid for
The directory is free to use. Down the road, studios will be able to pay for a featured spot, and local businesses can sponsor the site. Featured listings will always be labeled, and they will never change a studio's price or ranking in the price sort.
